No matter how much infrastructure the private space industry builds up they will still have to hassle with the gov thru means of regulations and whatnottery. There is a big push right now to get the FAA into a position where they can regulate the usage of space by the private companies.

Agreed, I also thought "outsourcing" was a poor choice of phrasing in this circumstance. When I think of "outsourcing" I think of jobs that went "out" of our country. But, technically that is call "offshoring".

More activity in space is a welcome sight, in my opinion. But with that increased activity should be a very real need to work at cleaning up orbital space. We can't keep up the business-as-usual ways of littering orbital space.

So, I usually have a problem converting GMT to pacific standard time.. 0100 GMT is 5 o'clock pm pacific time, right??

Well, it'll be tough but I'm going to try and be awake for the launch. That'll be just before 2 am here on the west coast. But, it'll be worth it to see history in the making. I'm praying for good weather and a successful flight. Good luck to the SpaceX team, Godspeed Dragon, Fly right Falcon.
